They are a non-profit entity within the Spokane Police Department with a heart to serve our community when faced with the loss of a loved one. They are not Police Officers; they do not investigate what has happened. If you have ever experienced the knock at your door in the middle of the night bringing bad news, it may have been a Police Chaplain. The Chaplain who was on scene when your loved one has died and assisted you in walking through the “What happens next?” process.
